About the event
The Dutch HRM Network holds its 14th Biennial International Conference from 9 to 11 November 2026 in Ghent, co-hosted by Vlerick Business School and Ghent University. The theme is "HRM in Times of 'Geo-Digital' Uncertainties" – the interplay of geopolitical turbulence (conflicts, migration, protectionism) and technological change such as generative AI, algorithmic management and data-driven HR tools. The event brings together scholars and practitioners for three days of research presentations and dialogue; a three-day programme is published on the organiser's site. The pHResh Doctoral Consortium for PhD candidates takes place on 9 November, with a keynote by Prof. dr. Tanya Bondarouk (University of Twente). A Best Paper Award and a Best Dissertation Award are presented. Tickets cost €475 (regular) or €265 (PhD); the doctoral consortium requires a paid conference ticket. It is primarily an academic conference, but HR managers in companies with 51–250 employees can use it to see current evidence on AI in HR, inclusion and workforce planning before it reaches practitioner media.
