About the event
The HR Square Conference is the annual destination conference of HR Square, the Ghent-based network for HR professionals and people managers. The 2026 edition runs from 7 to 9 October in Portorož, Slovenia, with participants spending two nights and three days at Hotel Palace; the previous edition took place in Dubrovnik. Under the theme "Future of Work: Thriving for Excellence", the programme mixes keynotes, break-out sessions and a debate. Announced speakers include Koen Dewettinck (Vlerick Business School), who opens with findings from the HR Barometer 2026, three-Michelin-star chef Ana Roš, and HR leaders from Barco, Legend Biotech and UZ Brussel, alongside sessions on the EU Pay Transparency Directive, employability and leadership. The package costs €2,350 for HR Square subscribers and €2,975 for non-subscribers and covers joint travel from Belgium, accommodation and all meals. The event is aimed mainly at Belgian HR teams, but its focus on pay transparency and lean HR functions is relevant to any company with 51–250 employees preparing for the new EU pay rules.
