Employee Lifecycle
The employee lifecycle is a process that describes the stages of an employee's journey within an organisation, from recruitment to departure. Several stages are distinguished in the employee lifecycle, including:
Employee Lifecycle
- Recruitment and Selection – This is the stage where an organisation seeks job candidates and chooses the best among them. At this stage, it is important for the organisation to attract suitable candidates and conduct the recruitment and selection process according to defined standards.
- Employee Onboarding – This is the stage where a new employee adapts to new working conditions and begins to familiarise themselves with the organisational culture. During this time, the employee should receive support and information that will allow them to quickly adapt to the new environment.
- Development – This is the stage where an employee acquires new skills and develops their competencies. The organisation should provide employees with opportunities for training, promotion, and professional development.
- Motivation – This is the stage where an employee is motivated to achieve the organisation's goals. It is important for the organisation to understand the needs and motivations of its employees and provide them with suitable working conditions.
- Retention – This is the stage where the organisation strives to retain employees who are valuable to it. The organisation should care for employee satisfaction, provide them with good working conditions and development prospects, to prevent their departure to other companies.
- Separation – Offboarding – This is the stage where an employee decides to leave the organisation. It is important for the organisation to conduct the separation process professionally and provide the employee with appropriate support during this challenging time for them.
The employee lifecycle is a continuous process, and the organisation should pay attention to each stage to ensure its employees have appropriate conditions for work and development, as well as to increase their engagement and loyalty to the company.
