    Health and Safety Training

Health and safety training (BHP) is mandatory for all employees in Poland. According to labour law regulations, every employee must undergo health and safety training before starting work and at least once a year.

    Health and Safety Training

Health and safety training aims to provide employees with knowledge and skills in occupational health and safety, and to familiarise them with labour law regulations and safe work practices. The training covers topics including:

    • health and safety regulations and labour law,
    • identification of workplace hazards,
    • emergency procedures,
    • safe use of tools and machinery,
    • accident prevention methods,
    • principles of ergonomics and occupational hygiene.

Health and safety training can be conducted by a company employee or an external training provider. Upon completion of the training, the employee receives a certificate of attendance or an entry in their training record.

What does health and safety training involve?

Health and safety training in the workplace usually consists of two parts: theoretical and practical.

The theoretical part of the training typically takes place in the form of a lecture or multimedia presentation, led by a health and safety instructor or an external specialist. The training covers health and safety regulations and labour law, identification of workplace hazards, emergency procedures, accident prevention methods, safe use of tools and machinery, as well as principles of ergonomics and occupational hygiene.

The practical part of the training involves familiarising employees with specific workplace conditions and hazards. The health and safety instructor demonstrates how to correctly use tools and machinery, how to avoid workplace accidents, how to administer first aid in case of an accident, and how to act in emergency situations.

Upon completion of the training, employees typically take a test or exam to verify that they have acquired sufficient knowledge in health and safety. Employees also receive confirmation of completing the training and instructions on how to act in case of danger in the workplace.

It is important that health and safety training is regularly updated so that employees are aware of the latest regulations and safety principles at work.
