    Transformational Leadership

Transformational leadership is an approach to leadership that focuses on developing and empowering the potential of others by inspiring them to achieve higher goals and realise their full potential. Transformational leadership is based on the premise that people want to develop and achieve goals, and a good leader can help them in this process through motivation, inspiration, and support.

    Transformational Leadership

In transformational leadership, leaders focus on developing the skills, knowledge, and competencies of their subordinates, as well as building their engagement and motivation. By setting ambitious goals, providing feedback, and involving employees in the decision-making process, transformational leaders help their subordinates achieve their full potential.

One of the key elements of transformational leadership is building relationships based on trust, empathy, and respect. Transformational leaders listen to their subordinates and consider their needs and perspectives, which helps create a positive atmosphere in the workplace.

Transformational leadership offers many benefits for organisations, including increased employee engagement and motivation, improved work performance and efficiency, and enhanced innovation and creativity.

    Transformational Leadership – Richard Branson

An example of transformational leadership is Richard Branson, the founder of the Virgin Group. Branson is known for a leadership approach that focuses on motivating his employees to achieve ambitious goals, developing their skills, and inspiring creativity.

Branson sets ambitious goals for his team and motivates them to work hard and take risks to achieve success. His approach focuses on trust, empathy, and respect for the people he works with. Branson is open to his employees' ideas and involves them in decision-making, which leads to better results and company growth.

Branson not only cares about the development of his employees but also about social and environmental development. His company, Virgin, is involved in various projects related to environmental protection, education, and fighting poverty, demonstrating that transformational leadership can bring benefits not only to business but also to society and the environment.

    Characteristics of Transformational Leadership

The main characteristics of transformational leadership are:

    1. Inspiration – transformational leaders engage their employees through inspiring visions of the future, as well as by understanding the needs and aspirations of their team. These leaders not only set goals but also explain why they are important and how they will help achieve success.
    2. Supporting employee development – transformational leaders strive for the development of their team, emphasising the growth of their skills, knowledge, and experience. These leaders also place a strong emphasis on providing feedback, which helps employees learn and develop.
